Land of Madness (IMDB 2009 ) is a documentary about murders and madness in the Southern Alps in France. An old man is interviewed and gives his theory as to why he thinks so many murders have occurred. He draws a pentagon on a map where he believes more people go crazy. He thinks it is due to the wind and the isolation. The murders and craziness cover at least 100 years. It’s pretty dubious as to whether there is in fact more murdering in the area than in any other similar sized relatively remote area. But the tales are interesting. Many of the killers kill and then allow themselves to be arrested. Some know their victims and some just kill randomly.
