Alien Bodies

Alien Bodies (1997) by Lawrence Miles is an eighth Doctor adventure where the doctor competes with various alien factions in an auction to obtain a body, which is actually his. The reason given for the value of the Doctor is his ‘biodata’ which is a some kind of imprint of all living things.

The factions represented are Earth, the Doctor himself, the Time Lords and the Faction Paradox and the Krotons.

The story is complex and hard to follow. The book is a bit of a mess. By the end it was hard to care what happened. The various factions and the new type of TARDIS presented were quite interesting though.
