The Evil of the Daleks

The Evil of the Daleks (1993) by John Peel  is an odd Dr Who novelisation of an original series book in that it was done decades after the serial screened and years after the original series ended.

The second Doctor is captured and taken back in time to Victorian England where he has to confront the Daleks. The series introduces a new companion, Victoria, and also has a clever take on the Daleks. It’s one of the better Dalek series that I’ve read or seen. The series and book have been well-regarded by fans of the show. It’s not a really outstanding series or book but it is one of the better Dalek stories.
