Siddhartha

Siddhartha (1922) by Herman Hesse is a wonderful short book that explores Buddhism and Eastern Religion by an accomplished western novelist.
The story of the book is the story of a Brahman who follows religious life and then leaves it for wordly life. In following worldly life he learns about love, lust and materialism before becoming a ferryman again.
It’s a remarkable short novel which is definitely a short classic.
