Galveston

Galveston (2011) by Nic Pizzolatto is a solid crime noir book. Pizzolatto is the writer of the outstanding ‘True Detective’ show. Many people will presumably be wondering if this book is as good as the show.

The book is the story of Roy, an enforcer for a gangster and Rocky, the young woman he inadvertently collects. They travel to Galveston and we follow their tale. It’s a harsh and grim world.
